Canaanite Semites

After examining the DNA of 93 bodies recovered from archaeological sites around the southern Levant, the land of Canaan in the Bible, researchers have concluded that modern populations of the region are descendants of the ancient Canaanites. Most modern Jewish groups and the Arabic-speaking groups from the region show at least half of their ancestry as Canaanite. - Jonathan Laden, November 25, 2023

Nearly all of the current day population of Israel, West Bank, and Gaza are descendants of Canaanites. These include both Jewish (Hebrew) and Arabic speaking people. This may not include those who may have migrated to the area in recents years from Europe, America, and from other areas of the world. Only a DNA test can confirm if they are part of that haplogroup.
